The Enlightenment Foundation Libraries (EFL) are a set of libraries that form a desktop class toolkit designed for the embedded world. A lot of optimization techniques have been developed over the past few years to
ensure optimum performance under most h/w conditions. This talk will discuss the various benchmarking methods used in EFL with hands-on demos for some of them, and it will provide an overview of how to identify what can still be optimized for your specific hardware. Throughout the talk, we will review most of the classic cases of how to maximize frame rate with a low CPU, memory and battery usage, and how to push them further. We will also cover Linux specific optimizations for the time-to-first-frame and reduced memory usage. If you are looking to learn how to get the maximum of your hardware to have great UI and a lot of technical freedom, this talk is for you!
