Porting Tizen to Odroid-U3 and Tizen Training Course for Graduate Students - Dongkun Shin, Sungkyunkwan University

Tizen is a suitable platform for training graduate students to understand and contribute to open sources. However, there are currently only two Tizen reference platforms, RD-PQ and RD-210, which are not available to the public. In order to provide a Tizen reference platform to students, we have ported Tizen 2.2 to Odroid-U3 that is one of Top 10 open single-board computers. Starting this fall semester, we open a Tizen training course for graduate students at Sungkyunkwan University. Students will learn about Tizen internal architecture, Tizen application development, Tizen platform porting and building, and how to contribute to the open source Tizen project. Furthermore, students will carry out a set of projects with Odroid-U3 Tizen platform.  Each project will add a useful feature to Tizen software platform. The ported Tizen source code will be released to the public.
